About Dry Needling

What is Dry Needling ?

Involves the use of fine needles at targeted muscle pain sites. Dry needling involves placing thin, sterile needles into trigger points (tight knots in muscles) with the objective of releasing tension, reducing pain, and improving movement. Dry needling varies from acupuncture; it is based on Western anatomy and is related to musculoskeletal pain.

About Cupping Therapy

What is Cupping Therapy?

A suction-based therapy to promote healing. Cupping uses special cups placed on the skin to create suction. This suction will improve blood flow, decrease muscle rigidity, and facilitate tissue recovery. Cupping can leave temporary circular marks on the skin, which are part of the normal healing process.

What is Kinesiotaping?

Kinesiotape is a stretchable tape that is placed directly on to the muscle or joint with the purpose of supporting the area of concern, reducing swelling, and providing body awareness (proprioception).
